Myofascial Release (MFR) is a hands-on technique used to help treat fascial pains, aches and tension which can be caused by tightness in the tissue.
A MFR treatment is a holistic therapy. No oils are used which allows the therapist to feel deeper into the tissue. By stretching the fascia it helps to ease muscle pain, release tension whilst improving mobility.
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) is a therapy in which medical graded steel tools are used to treat soft tissue dysfunction/myofascial restriction. They are used to detect and treat fascial restrictions, chronic inflammation, soft tissue fibrosis. It works by effectively breaking down any adhesions, scar tissue and fascial restrictions by applying the appropriate amount of pressure to the affected area.
