MEET WENDY

 

My name is Wendy and I am a fully qualified and insured Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist.  I trained and studied with the Western School of Massage, one of the top Massage Schools in the UK gaining Diplomas in Sports & Remedial massage and Swedish Massage. I am also qualified in Medical Acupuncture (level 1 and Level 2), the Fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Examination and Assessment protocols, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation), Kinesiology Taping, Functional Integrated Cupping therapy, Deep Tissue and Indian Head massage.  I am also a qualifed RockDoc in RockTape, RockBlades and RockPods and a level 2 Reiki practitioner.

I have always been passionate about sport which has led me to becoming a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist.  I am fascinated by the anatomy, physiology and pathology of the body and the impact it has on our health and wellbeing.  Seeing the positive changes and benefits massage achieves is very rewarding.  Being able to help clients enhance their sporting performance, reduce injury recovery time, improve range of movement, decrease their pain levels and promote an overall relaxation is what makes me love my job.  I treat every client holistically and provide individual treatment plans and aftercare advice.

I am a keen cyclist, runner, hillwalker and golfer and know the effects a sporting injury can have on you mentally & physically.
